My name is Mark Burke and I'm a technologist based out of Vancouver Island, Canada. I've been working in the Information Technology field since 1994.

I'm interested in the connection between humanity and technology, how we use digital tools, and the challenges that emerge with the ever increasing speed of change.

"I like to be reminded this city survives because of these machines. These machines keep us alive, while other machines are coming to kill us."

— Councillor Hamann, The Matrix Reloaded

The quote perfectly encapsulates our dependency on technology, and the potential threat technological progress can be to human well-being. This is not a new problem in human history, but the stakes seem to keep increasing. Not to say I take the "alarmist" position — I'm just keenly interested in how we continue to evolve with technology.

In addition to helping customers adopt software and hardware in their businesses to drive outcomes, I am also keenly interested in how AI/ML will impact consumer and home-grown products.

I hope you find something useful here.
